After starting at the Perky Poodle as a bather in 2000, Leigha fell in love almost immediately with the transformation of grooming, and she felt connected to the dogs in a way that she hadn’t in other pet professions. Meg needed a summer job and managed the salon where she met Leigha. They got married and bought the salon and the rest is history!

With over 20 years experience, Ali continues to be a mainstay presence for our clients. Whether checking clients in and out, answering the phone, handling staff concerns, while making fast friends with all of our furry customers, Ali’s there! When not at work, Ali enjoys crocheting and most of all annoying her husband.

Seeking something new and interesting, Steve joined our team a year ago becoming a regular face for our clients to chat with when picking up their pets in the afternoon. Steve enjoys spending time with his corgi puppy, friends and family while occasionally traveling to exotic locations around the world.

With 15 years experience, Alva provides consistent caring grooming services to her ever-growing clientele. A devoted mother to her three kids, Alva enjoys listening to music and time spent with her family.

A professional groomer with more than 35 years experience, Lyn joined our team in 2022. A natural teacher and mentor, Lyn shares her vast knowledge and expertise mentoring our junior staff seeking to learn and grow their skills. Lyn enjoys reading and taking care of her rescued farm animals.

A native of Highland Park, Logan is a familiar face to many of our clients. Logan’s deep love for animals comes through in her work as a bather. A frequent volunteer at Operation Kindness, Logan enjoys all aspects of pet care and recently started her own pet sitting business.

Kat has been in the pet industry for 28 years. We’re glad to have her back at the salon! Kat enjoys spending time with her Maltese, friends, and family, often showing off her incredible cooking skills generously at home and at The Poodle.

Rhys has been developing his growing skill set for the last 5 years. Rhys consistently provides steady and caring bathing services and is currently training in-house to transition from a bather to groomer. An avid lover of Cosplay and video games, Rhys brings a unique joy to our salon.

Daniel joined our salon in 2003 straight out of grooming school. His diligence and commitment has been an asset to his clients and Perky Poodle. A family man with deep faith, Daniel spends his time with his wife and sons playing guitar and learning the saxophone.

Seeking a professional change, Lina jumped in feet first with us in 2021. An artist at heart, Lina has a natural passion for making the pets she works with clean and beautiful for our grooming staff. Lina enjoys video gaming, scrapbooking, and graphic designing in her off-time.
